Katy Perry takes her Prismatic World Tour to No. 1 on Billboard’s weekly Hot Tours recap with $31 million in ticket sales from the tour’s North American leg that began in June. The tally includes concerts that occurred in a two-month span beginning on July 15.
Four cities during that time period hosted the pop star for two performances: Chicago, New York, Boston and Philadelphia. The Windy City led the pack with the highest gross of $3.3 million from sold-out shows on Aug. 7 and 8 at the United Center. Meanwhile, Philly’s Wells Fargo Center sold the most tickets with attendance logged at 28,213 for performances on Aug. 4 and 5.
Perry played two shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 24-25, as well as a two-night stint at Boston’s TD Garden at the beginning of August. Since the North American trek kicked off on June 22, ticket sales for the Prismatic tour currently total $50 million from almost half a million sold tickets at 33 concerts, based on box office data reported to Billboard. The ongoing tour is booked in North American markets through mid-October and then heads down under in November for a six-city jaunt through Australia and New Zealand.
